My lil cowgirl

Natalie went to "Wild, Wild West" camp last week. She was so excited. As most of you know she loves horses so she couldn't wait till camp started. She learned about cowboys and indians, made a horse on a stick, made her own vest with stamps and even made flapjacks. She wore her cowgirl hat and horse shirts proudly all week. She really enjoyed it and I'm definitely signing her up for camp next summer. Maybe she will do the princess camp, down on the farm or even dinosaur camp like her big brother did last summer. She's getting so big now, starting Pre-K in less than a week! I can't believe my baby is growing up and so beautiful I must say!

Weekend in NC
We went to North Carolina this past weekend to visit my dad and family. It was so great to see them. The kids were antsy during the drive there and home but aren't all kids? They loved seeing everyone and had a great time playing with their cousins! I made a little slide show of some of the pictures I took. Those that know me best know I took TONS! HAHA!

Swim lessons
The kids finished up their second session of swim lessons, in the summer a session is Monday thru Thursday for two weeks. I'm so proud of them, they have come so far. They really love going to the lessons and I have seen them both become so comfortable in the water. I am really impressed by what they have accomplished in the last four weeks. The last day of class they have safety day where they talk to them about rules when you are around water, teach them to rescue people and how to swim with a life preserver on.
Natalie was scared of going too far into the water, but now she can jump off the diving board all by herself! She has learned to do the back stroke and to swim on her stomach, both she still needs someone to hold her or she can do them on her own with a noodle.

She bravely puts her face in the water and LOVES jumping off the side. It took us some work to get her to start jumping but now we can't stop her. She's still alittle nervous jumping from the diving board but does it much easier than before. She is in the second level this coming up session. Way to go Natalie!

Matthew has been swimming on his own for awhile and does pretty well but I wanted him to learn actual techniques. He has done very well and already has his favorite, the butterfly. He is still working on his breathing and his strength.

Matthew is really excited to learn as much as he can so he can move up to the shark level. He is in the second level this coming up session but if he learns how to do his breathing right he can move up to the third level very quickly. Way to go Matthew!

One fish, two fish...
Matthew and Natalie love to swim. I signed them up for swim lessons at the YMCA where we are members. This is their second session and they love it! Natalie was in pike for the first session and has now been moved up to eel. Matthew was in polliwog and now is a guppy. They are doing well, Natalie is still scared to jump in from the side of the pool. She will do it sometimes but not always. Matthew learned how to do the butterfly stroke yesterday and really likes it. They are enjoying themselves and learning how to swim! I will post more pictures next week towards the end of this session so check back!

Life's a beach...
especially if you live close to one. We took dinner to the beach Saturday and ate in one of the gazebos. It was so nice, the kids had fun chasing the birds and playing on the playground. We went out on the pier they just finished. It was damaged by the hurricane a few years back. It was such a nice evening, I didn't want to leave. I took some pictures of the kids in black and white, they turned out good I think. Enjoy and let me know what you think of them. Put your mouse on top of a picture if you want to read the description.

Matt lost his first tooth!

While we were in Vegas for a week in May we noticed Matthew's teeth had a little gap so I looked and sure enough his two front top teeth were lose. He's been wiggling them since then and finally this morning the first one fell out right into his bowl of Froot Loops. He was so excited. We put it in his little tooth box. He has been talking about the tooth fairy lately; he told me that she brings dollar bills.....haha. We will see what she left in the morning!
