Busch Gardens
Tuesday afternoon we went to Busch Gardens with my mom, Nana, Ryan and Aunt Denise. It was hot but we had fun. Jer, Matthew, Ryan & my mom went on the Escape from Pompeii ride. While Nana, Aunt Denise and I waited for them Natalie drove a remote control boat. The kids went on some rides and then Jeremy and Denise joined them on the tea cups. Nana and I took Ryan and Natalie to play in the water in dragon land while Mom, Denise, Jeremy and Matt went on more rides. The kids area closes at 8 so Natalie decided to go on some rides before they did but Ryan didn't want to so she had to go on them by herself. I felt so bad, she looked so sad on the boat ride but after that it seems she was having fun. I took Ryan and Natalie on the carousel and then we headed to one last ride. It was a fun night, we got home late but it was nice not to have to wait in long lines for the rides.

Lacy's 4 months old

She's so sweet and getting so big. She still plays rough sometimes with the kids but she's learning. We have her in obedience school so we are starting to teach her commands. She's smart so she's picking them up. She's still a puppy but gotten so big since we got her when she was 7 weeks old.

Weekend at the beach
Saturday morning Jeremy, the kids and I packed up the durango and drove down to the Outer Banks to meet my sister and nephews, Hunter & Sawaar. We put our luggage in the hotel room and raced down to the beach. It was beautiful, clear water (NO jellyfish), the sky, the beach smell, oh it was great. So we relaxed and played on the beach all day, went to dinner at Aweful Arthurs, got ice cream at a little shop then played putt putt at Jurassic Putt. It was full of dinosaurs so Matthew was thrilled! We went to the beach again sunday, did a little shopping and then headed home. Even though we all put lotion on everyone got burnt but Matt. I swear he tans like he has Indian or Spanish blood running through him. Everyone was wiped but it was a great weekend at the beach.

Matt's first overnighter

Matthew went with our church to Primary kids camp. He left friday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. It was so strange without him. The house was quiet, Natalie was bored, it just wasn't the same. I took pictures of him leaving, he was standing there looking so unsure of what to expect. Jeremy took a picture of me and Matt when we picked him up. He came back tan, tired and looking like he had grown. My little boy is growing up!

Dinner & a movie
Friday night we went to dinner for our anniversary. Matthew was away at camp and Natalie stayed with the babysitter. Afterwards we went to see the movie "Click." It was very funny, I highly recommend you see it! It was alot of fun and nice to get a night out together. I have to admit I was alittle nervous about Natalie being with a new babysitter alone. She is so use to having her big brother there and is really attached to Denae who usually babysits for us. She was on the trip Matthew was on so we had to ask someone else. Angi, the pastors daughter watched her so I knew she was in good hands, just not sure if she was upset or scared alittle thinking we all left her. The next day we heard all about her night, how Angi played with her and her dolls, went outside to play and that they went to Angi's house to play with her horse toys (not really just Natalie's little imagination at work) so it was ok after all. Just can't help being a worried Mom sometimes! Haha.

Angi took the picture of us as we were leaving to go out. See Natalie running around in the background?! Haha!
Jeremy gave me a dozen beautiful roses and a candle with a topper that has 7 bouquets of flowers for our SEVEN years of marriage. I gave Jeremy something he needed very badly, new shoes! Men don't like to shop and Jeremy doesn't even like for someone to shop for him. He just will wear the same old stuff but he needed something nice to wear to church and when we go out. He really likes them, thank goodness!

It's our Anniversary
Today is our 7th wedding anniversary! We are going out tomorrow night to our favorite "date night" restaurant for dinner, Vivo Cuchino's. Matthew is leaving in the morning for camp with our church, he's so excited. He will be gone for the weekend. I will post more pictures later.

4th at the Fort
The light saber duel We went to Fort Monroe for the 4th of July. It was very hot but we had a good time. The kids played some games and went on some of the bounce arounds. We walked around, looking at the booths and of course the kids had to get a toy. The toy they picked were these mini light sabers. It was soooo funny to see them "fighting" each other. They enjoyed themselves. We got a bite to eat and went back for a little more play time before sitting down to watch the fireworks. It was a good night besides the heat.

Day at the beach
Today we went to the beach. It was a beautiful day, nice and breezy too! The kids had a blast playing in the sand and water. Natalie got stung by a jelly fish which was not fun. She was in alot of pain and at least half the beach had to have known it. Once the pain went away she was even brave enough to go back into the water for a little more fun. I even got a chance to read a few pages of a book I have been trying YEARS to read. I couldn't help it, I had to take some shots of everyone enjoying the time at the beach. We are going to Nags Head in a few weeks for a couple of days so we are looking forward to that. This was a "test" run, gave me an idea of what I need to pack and be prepared for.....haha. Enjoy the pictures, just put your mouse over the picture to see the caption.
